| Hi, I am Walnut the Clown, professional Birthday Party Magic Clown, in Auckland, New Zealand. I have been a Children's Entertainer for 35 years having trained in Circus, Theater, Magic, Puppetry, Balloon Twisting, and Busking. I have toured both the North and South Islands of New Zealand 18 times, visiting communities as far south as Stewards Island and as far north as Te Hapua. Some schools had rolls as low as 10 pupils but I love to travel and I love children. Walnut the Clown is always willing to entertain anywhere. I have also performed in France, Italy, Brazil, Easter Island, Australia and Vanuatu. I am primarily a children's entertainer specialising in ages 3 to 7 but I can also work intimately with adults in a casual environment such as a party or restaurant. I can perform on a large stage but prefer to work in more intimate venues. I now offer a 1 hour balloon show for retirement villages and rest homes. Staff are amazed at how receptive the elderly are to the balloons, even dementia patents. Includes music and songs. In 2007 I was delighted to receive a Scroll of Honour from the Variety Artists of New Zealand. I have been nominated four times for their Top Children's Entertainer Award. I also offer a jolly Father Christmas and a Xmas Clown Magic Show. |
